Refund Policy

1. General Policy

All purchases on BeforeBuild are for code foundations — working starting points meant to be extended, not finished products. Because digital code is delivered immediately upon purchase, all sales are considered final by default.

2. Vibe Guarantee Refund Conditions

If you purchased the optional Vibe Guarantee add-on at checkout, you are entitled to a refund under the following conditions:

  • The RUNBOOK steps fail on one of the documented supported environments, and
  • You contacted the creator within the 72-hour support window, and
  • The creator did not resolve the issue or respond during the support window.

The Vibe Guarantee covers: “Make it run as described; answer setup questions.” It does not cover feature requests, customization, or extending the foundation beyond its documented scope.

3. Non-Guarantee Refund Requests

If you did not purchase the Vibe Guarantee, refunds may still be issued at our discretion for legitimate quality concerns, including but not limited to:

  • The listing was materially misrepresented (e.g., described features do not exist).
  • The repository is empty, inaccessible, or contains malicious code.
  • The listing was removed for a policy violation after your purchase.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, use the Contact Creator button on your purchase page within 72 hours of purchase. If the issue is not resolved by the creator, contact the BeforeBuild team through the platform with your purchase ID and a description of the issue.

5. Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Platform fees may or may not be refunded depending on the circumstances.

6. What Is Not Covered

  • Buyer’s remorse or change of mind after accessing the code.
  • Issues caused by the buyer’s own environment, modifications, or unsupported platforms.
  • Requests for features, customization, or support beyond the documented scope.
  • Purchases older than 30 days.

7. Creator Obligations

Creators who offer the Vibe Guarantee are expected to respond to buyer inquiries within the 72-hour window. Repeated failure to respond may affect the creator’s reputation score and featured placement on the marketplace.
